 Today we are excited to have Sister Sheila as our guest.

When was the first time you experienced drinking or drugs?

9 year old and about 15 cocaine 

What became your drug of choice?

Heroin became her drug of choice at the age of 17 years old

What or who influenced you to start doing drugs?

Sister that already used, and she has family member that used

What are some of the things you were doing while you were using?

She found herself selling her body and robbing people as well as stealing, she was looking for love in all the wrong places 

Did you ever hallucinate or overdose?

She just had her son and they took him away from her and she used heroin, cocaine as well as meth and she has a bad reaction to it and she has an outer body experience. She would see demons and they would tell her she was going to die

What was the price of you using drugs? With your friends, your family, other relationships? Did the addiction cost you everything?

She lost her children her family didn’t want her around.

After you realized you couldn’t stop using, what did you tell yourself? Did you just continue to get high because you thought there was no hope?

When she went to prison but even then she still lived the life style

What was the worst point or the turning point in your life, that you knew you needed help, and then you began to seek help? What happened? What was like emotion like?

She came to Modesto she was in a bad marriage that she needed to get out of she went to the Victory Outreach women’s home.

Now that you’ve recovered, what word of encouragement would you like to give someone who is struggling with addiction?

Don’t lose hope you are not alone sometimes we feel like that but there is always some there it help us.

Do you believe that outside forces will ever stop trying to tempt someone in recovery?

Yes, he will always be there but it up to us to change. You can’t walk on both sides of the road out God is a jealous God.

Once someone is out of a recovery what steps do you believe that someone will always need to do, to stay clean?

Be real with yourself, no what you can handle, stay close the positive people and prayer reading your word.
